Play Pass Offer Terms

With Play Pass Promotional Offers (“Play Pass Offers”), you can get additional special offers and discounts for in-app purchases and subscriptions on certain specified apps available on Google Play while you’re subscribed to Play Pass. Because Play Pass Offers are only available for apps that are not included as part of the Play Pass subscription(this link will open in new tab or window), you might still get ads and find in-app purchases in these apps.

Eligibility criteria and redeeming offers
To be eligible for Play Pass Offers you must have a valid Google Play Pass subscription in a country where Play Pass Offers are available(this link will open in new tab or window). If you’re receiving Play Pass through your participation in a family group(this link will open in new tab or window), you are not eligible for these Play Pass Offers. Play Pass Offers are valid for individual users only, and are not available for Google Play Pass subscribers on trial subscriptions.

Play Pass Offers are limited to one redemption per user, per offer. To use a Play Pass Offer you must first save your Play Pass Offer by clicking the “Save” button found on the offer in your Play Pass offers tab in Google Play. Once saved, you are eligible to redeem the offer benefits (for example, without limitation, an in-app item credit or a subscription discount) as specified in the relevant Play Pass Offer. You must save and redeem each Play Pass Offer by the date and time stated on the Play Pass Offer itself.

As these offers are for Play Pass subscribers only, you must maintain a valid Google Play Pass subscription to continue to benefit from any Play Pass Offer that you have redeemed. For example, if you redeem an offer for a 10% monthly discount on an app subscription, then this 10% discount will continue to apply only for as long as you maintain a valid Play Pass subscription (in addition to other requirements that may be specified in the relevant Play Pass Offer).

Effect of canceling your Play Pass subscription
If you or Google cancel your Play Pass subscription, then from the date the subscription cancellation becomes effective in accordance with the Play Terms of Service, the following will occur:
1. You won’t be entitled to redeem any Play Pass Offers, even offers you had previously “saved”;
2. For any Play Pass Offers that have been redeemed for a single purchase (for example a single credit or discount on a single in-app item), the item received will remain yours to keep, even after you cancel the Play Pass subscription.
3. Any Play Pass Offers for app subscriptions will no longer be valid, and the offer will be removed from your subscription. This means that any discount pricing you’re receiving as a Play Pass subscriber will end, and the price displayed for the app subscription when you checked out (including any later price changes as notified in accordance with Play’s Terms of Service) will take effect at the subscription’s next renewal date;
4. Any Play Pass Offer for an app subscription trial will no longer be valid, and the trial offer will be removed from your subscription. This means that the subscription price displayed when you checked out for the app subscription trial (including any later price changes as notified in accordance with Play’s Terms of Service) will take effect at the subscription’s next renewal date.

Google reserves the right to change, suspend or cancel a Play Pass Offer at any time if there are circumstances that are unforeseen or beyond Google's reasonable control (including if we reasonably believe that your conduct causes harm or liability to a user, third party, or Google, or for other breaches of these Play Pass Offer Terms). This will not affect Play Pass Offers that are saved before the Play Pass Offer is changed, suspended or canceled, provided the offer has already been saved and is redeemed in accordance with these terms.

Valid in Australia, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Poland, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, the Netherlands, the Philippines, the UK, Ukraine and the United States only, and for purchases made in the relevant currency through Google Play.

Play Pass Offers applied at checkout and Google Payments account required. Age restrictions apply. If there is any conflict between the Google Play Terms and these Offer Terms, these Play Pass Offer Terms shall prevail.
